Port Elizabeth, South Africa, 31 October – 1 November 2019

Every year, South Africa highlights the critically important role that transport plays in the economy during October Transport Month. It is used to raise awareness on the important role of transport in the economy and to encourage engagements from civil society and business.

The published Green Transport Strategy of National Department of Transport highlights direct emissions from the road transport sector accounting for 91.2%, with Electric Vehicles promoted as one of the transportation technologies to mitigate fossil-fuel related emissions within the transport sector.

Along the global growth of sustainable transport technologies, there has been an increased market demand of Lithium-ion batteries that form the key component of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.

Following a successful 2018 event with over 150 delegates, the uYilo eMobility Programme and Shmuel De-Leon Energy are pleased to invite you to attend the Batteries and Electric Vehicle 2019 Conference to be held on Thursday 31st October and Friday 1st November 2019 at the Nelson Mandela University, Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.

As a thought leadership initiative, the conference will provide leading insights and facilitate discussions to provide a platform for technological and business opportunities with the latest updates in the fields of Batteries and Electric Vehicles from local and international speakers.
